The "mesquerfresquer" Lowpass Filter provides all the functionality of the classic moogerfooger unit! It can be used as a true lowpass filter or with an envelope follower that allows the filter to be dynamically "played" by the dynamics of the sound. And for you Frusciante fans, you can also control the cutoff of the filter with an external LFO for those wobbly rhythmic filter sounds heard all over on Stadium Arcadium.

Just like the original: the "mesquerfresquer" contains multiple CV/Expression Pedal inputs and outputs. This allows each parameter to be manipulated and controlled simultaneously, while also providing modular interconnectivity between other moogerfooger analog effects.

Pedalboard friendly: the "mesquerfresquer" comes in a light and compact enclosure that is 35% smaller than the original! It maintains top-mounted jacks, and is powered by a standard 9V (center-negative) adapter.

The "mesquerfresquer" Lowpass Filter features include:

  • DRIVE: Adjusts audio input gain with three-color level LED
  • BYPASS: On/Bypass switch with two-color LED indicator
  • RESONANCE: Varies the shape of the filter's response, from pure lowpass to actual oscillation
  • CUTOFF: Varies the filter's cutoff frequency over a nine-octave range
  • 2/4: Selects between 2-pole (bright) and 4-pole (deep) frequency response
  • AMOUNT: Determines how much the envelope signal opens and closes the filter
  • MIX: Crossfades continuously from unfiltered to filtered audio
  • SMOOTH/FAST: Determines whether or not the envelope signal is smoothed out
  • 1/4” CV/EXPRESSION PEDAL INPUTS: Cutoff, Mix, Resonance and Amount
  • 1/4” CV OUTPUTS: Envelope

The fun pedal

Of course you can get the “Dani California” wobble with this thing! But, feel free to tweak the knobs and oh man.. You’ve entered a world of fun. This pedal stimulates creativity to a new level. As far as I know and discovered so far it’s 100% like the Moogerfooger, but more pedal friendly. Build solid and with care. I got it together with the 12 Stage Phaser.

Perfect for Frusciante enthusiasts and more

Once again Jordan did a huge favor to the Frusciante community by recreating a classic Moogerfooger pedal at a fraction of the price. So far, I had a lot of fun playing with the pedal and figuring out what sounds you can get out of it, the possibilities are endless. I think it is perfect for recreating Stadium Arcadium tones such as Dani California, Strip My Mind, Death of a Martian. Also, there is a lot of passion going into the JFX products, as always, the pre-order shipped exactly as expected and it was very carefully packaged.

So much fun

This pedal sounds great! It's so much fun especially running various inputs used by the LFO Out of my JF-103. There are endless sounds you can get out of this combo of pedals. The JF-101 is in a well-built enclosure that fits on my board with no issues.
