The "mesquerfresquer" 12-Stage Phaser provides all the functionality of the classic moogerfooger unit! It can apply everything from subtle tonal coloration to extremely deep phasing and even ring mod like effects!
Just like the original: the "mesquerfresquer" contains multiple CV/Expression Pedal inputs and outputs. This allows each parameter to be manipulated and controlled simultaneously, while also providing modular interconnectivity between other moogerfooger analog effects.
Pedalboard friendly: the "mesquerfresquer" comes in a light and compact enclosure that is 35% smaller than the original! It maintains top-mounted jacks, and is powered by a standard 9V (center-negative) adapter.
The "mesquerfresquer" 12-Stage Phaser features include:
- DRIVE: Adjusts audio input gain with three-color level LED
- BYPASS: On/Bypass switch with two-color LED indicator
- RESONANCE: Determines the height and sharpness of the peaks in the phaser frequency response
- RATE: Varies the LFO frequency from 0.01Hz - 250Hz with indicator LED
- LO/HI: Selects between the low LFO range (0.01Hz - 2.5Hz) and the high LFO range (1.0Hz - 250Hz)
- AMOUNT: Determines how much the LFO modulates the phaser sweep parameter
- SWEEP: Shifts the phaser frequency response over a six-octave range
- 6/12: Selects between 6-stage and 12-stage phaser modes
- 1/4” CV/EXPRESSION PEDAL INPUTS: Rate, Amount, Resonance and Sweep
- 1/4” CV OUTPUTS: LFO

Phaser is my favourite kind of modulation, I own a few, and this is a real special one. The amount of control you have over different aspect of the effect is amazing, from subtle, phase 90 style, to deep univibe territory, to ring mod alliance sounds. The ability to cancel the LFO and use it as a tone shaper is really cool, and the ability to control other pedals and have CV control over all the parameters make it a really interesting, study worthy pedal.
I have it for a few days now and I'm only scratching the surface. Fun times!!
I have not played with the original of this pedal, but I do have a good many phasers, and the control topology of this phaser sets it apart from many of the better ones that are available today. In particular, having control of the sweep point, and having an LFO that goes into audio rate territory, allow a great many textures to be coaxed from this pedal. The drive here also sounds lovely and warm, and I do have a 104M, and I would say that Jordan has done well in recreating the drive circuit. This pedal can get over the top juicy but can also be tamed down, depending upon your needs. Very versatile phaser pedal. Only thing I would have liked to see is here is midi, but all in all I am pleased with my purchase.

Great analog tone, tones of tweaking possibilities, pure sound machine. Also great communication with Jordan, very helpful and competent.
This pedal sounds fantastic. In any settings the pedal adds a slight compression to the sound making it lush and thicker. Abslolutely love this feature.
All the different settings sound amazing. Most pedals have their sweet spot or the fav setup and usually we leave it there. With this pedal whatever we tried it was just amazing, couldn’t stop playing it. I remember seeing Frusciante having 3 of the original MFs and I thought why he needs that many. Now I understand why and we probably get an other one of the Mesquerfresquer for gigging.
Additional treat that the Mesquerfresquer is silent. We have plenty of different modulation pedals and all of them are quite noisy. Despite having massive pedalboard and the MF is right in the middle of it it’s so nice and quiet, absolutely love it. In fact when switched on the hum of the entire pedalboard reduced significantly.
It sounds great too when driven by the Empyrean or an other fuzz or overdrive. The lead sound is an absolute killer. Pure joy to listen.
